Camp is a rockin' place to live. I spent the summer of '98 and '99 working at Camp Amahami, near Deposit in upstate NY. Camp (as a counselor, not so much as a camper) was one of the best experiences of my life and it came at just the right time that I needed it. I also learned some great camp songs too!

Here are a some awesome things that I did at camp, that I would not have done otherwise:

You may be wondering how such a negative and generally screwed up girl such as myself was able to pull off the whole perky, happy camp counselor thing. Well, the truth is, I didn't. I was just Cleo, the Pottery Queen of Amahami. The enthusiasm thing didn't really work for me, but just like "camp has all types of campers, camp needs all types of counselors." At camp I liked to hide in the pottery cabin and be "out back" in the "outback".
